Stage 1
Recognition of God
“We believe.” A sense of awe and a need for a Savior.
2026 Fall Season
Forging Freedom meets six times this Fall, September 14 through November 2. You’ll discover deep truths of who you were created to be as a man, hear stories of life transformation, and see that the same freedom is possible for you, shoulder-to-shoulder with other men asking the deeper questions of life.
Attending is free, but space is limited. Pre-registration helps us plan.

What we mean by
The capacity to live fully as the person God designed you to be.
Not freedom from, but freedom for. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free, and that freedom is received, not achieved.
Map of the journey
Adapted from The Critical Journey by Janet Hagberg & Robert Guelich: six stages of faith, and a wall most men hit in the middle.
Stage 1
“We believe.” A sense of awe and a need for a Savior.
Stage 2
“We are learning about God.” Meaning comes from belonging.
Stage 3
“We are doing things for God.” Responsibility, service, performance.
The Wall
“Things just aren’t working anymore… there’s got to be more.” The crisis where achievement stops answering, and the doorway to everything after it.
Stage 4
A new way to do this relationship with God and others. From doing to being.
Stage 5
Living from a totally different place, working from God, not for Him.
Stage 6
“It’s all about God.” Significance is received, not achieved.
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”
Galatians 5:1
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
